Updated: 6:36 AM EST Jan 15, 2021 Mass COVID-19 vaccination sites are opening across the country, including Philadelphia.People eligible under Phase 1A of Pennsylvania’s vaccination plan can get their shot Friday and Saturday at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.Organizers said they have 2,600 doses and plan to inoculate three to seven people every five minutes.The center is staffed by some full-time workers, but volunteers are needed.“We’re looking for nursing students, nurses, doctors, any kind of medical professional who’s willing to help us,” said Dr. Karol Osipowicz, of the group Philly Fighting COVID.More than 50,000 people have already registered for the vaccine, Osipowicz said.
