The former Gen. John F. Reynolds School in North Philadelphia's Sharswood neighborhood has been converted into affordable housing for homeless and low-income veterans, seniors and people with disabilities. The Art Deco-style building was constructed in 1925-26 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. The project was led by HELP USA, a Brooklyn-based non-profit that has built five other veteran-focused affordable housing projects in Philadelphia.
