The Taiwan stock market has finished lower in three straight sessions, retreating almost 260 points or 1.7 percent along the way. The Taiwan Stock Exchange now rests just above the 15,700-point plateau and it's looking at another soft start again on Friday.
The China stock market has tracked lower in two straight sessions, slumping more than 25 points or 0.7 percent along the way. The Shanghai Composite Index now sits just above the 3,365-point plateau and it's expected to see little movement again on Friday.
The Hong Kong stock market on Thursday snapped the two-day slide in which it had stumbled more than 410 points or 2 percent. The Hang Seng Index now sits just beneath the 20,400-point plateau although it may be stuck in neutral on Friday.
