Good afternoon in the news this noon, violent protest ez in the wake of another Deadly Police shooting in missouri. And the search for parking garage bandits at work in rittenhouse. And the big story is a destructive fire that claimed one life at a Delaware County assisted living facility for the disabled. The blaze left heavy damage in media. Vernon odom is live outside of that facility as investigators begin their search for the cause. Reporter officials here at elwin are waiting for the state fire marshals for the official ruling on the investigation into what caused this deadly fire last night. The fire broke out in one resident room. It took about an hour to put it out, and most of the damage was confined to one room where the only person that perished was living. We contained it to one room and we had one fatality. When they arrived the elwin staff evacuated the residents to safety. They were assisted by state police and we had seven troopers on location that were helping to evac

York County Assistant District Attorney La Tasha Cherene Williams is running for a judgeship at the Dauphin County, Pa., Court of Common Pleas in the May 18, 2021 primary race. Photo: Provided

Pennsylvania’s Primary election is scheduled for May 18.
A graduate of Widener University of Commonwealth Law School in Harrisburg, Williams said she has more than 20 years of experience in the criminal justice and public policy arenas. Known for advocating for the release of wrongly convicted prisoners, she said she specifically wants to support changes to help those who have been sentenced to life without the possibility of parole and death.
