border. whether it s crime surging in our streets. this is a president that is failing the american people. so i think that bodes very well for the republican field. bret: bodes very well. there is a line here that if it gets to the bad part, whether they are playing the politics of it. at the moment republicans feel very good. i have asked republicans who have won in biden won districts, conservative. they say we think we might win this time. we have watched debt ceilings where republicans in the past have faced blow back for pushing for spending cuts. they think because they passed this house g.o.p. plan they were pushing the white house. the white house took the position we re not going to negotiate and they are claiming they are not negotiating even though they are negotiating and now they are negotiating that they are winning this hand. now there is still time for that to change. you have to see the final product but, at the moment, they are feeling very strongly about their
