community, so people like yourself, like phil, like john brennan don t speak out? i think there s no doubt that the intent is to cause people in the intelligence community to feel that chilling effect, but as testmeament to the four national intelligence officials that siwrote a letter yesterday and what the congressman signed on to. trump is going to extreme measures to express influence over what former intelligence officials do during their job and after they leave the intelligence kbhuntcommunities. if he doesn t like what they say or do, he s going to go after them. what we saw after what happened with john brennan, his security clearance being
headlines that are going to be incredibly uncomfortable for the president that he s not going to be able to sort of say, he worked for me for a short period of time and i really had nothing to do with it. for someone like manafort, i think that phil s absolutely right, the president doesn t care anything at all about m manafo manafort. but i do think that if you look at the dove, or the lack of defense that manafort s team has put forward, i believe there s a lot of belief that s going to be a party here, there s no other option here. but i do think that in the end, manafort is probably going to be found guilty and i think that for this president, that s going to create some real problems going forward. i talked to a source close to the white house earlier today who said if manafort is found innocent, if he s found not guilty, expect the white house, expect all the president s defenders to pounce on that

show intent you said the fbi was part of an effort to stop president trump from becoming president. andrew mccabe s office, deputy director of the fbi, lisa page, peter strzok in his office talking about how they don t want donald trump to be president, we can t afford to take that risk, we need an insurance policy. commonsense running the investigation over at house intel, republicans say he has no problem with andrew mccabe after talking to him for a full day. you know what, we re going to talk to him tomorrow, john. happy holidays, sir. you bet. merry christmas. joining us now, former fbi and senior official phil mudd, brian stelter, former special agent and matt lewis, senior columnist for the daily beast. actually, phil mudd first. what do you make of the
