Drive-ins excited to again screen new films

As area drive-in movie theater operators prepare to open venues for the season, they are looking forward to having more new movies to show.
After the pandemic brought Hollywood to a halt last spring, studios pushed back most of their movie release schedule and sent some titles direct to streaming services. That left theater operators with two choices last summer: remain closed after shutdown orders lifted or play older movies almost exclusively.
