Two people familiar with the decision told the Ledger-Enquirer who will be announced as the new CHS head coach at a news conference Wednesday in the school auditorium.
“I couldn’t have asked for more than what God blessed me with and put me in a situation where I could touch the lives of kids,” said Columbus High School head football coach Phil Marino.
“He’s taught us all personal strength,” said assistant coach Robert Peters. “The fact that he was able to carry his burden, plus the team, and still come out ahead, it’s a wonderful thing.”
