Napa Valley Unified School District announced today that it has been awarded a K-12 Strong Workforce Program grant to help fund its new Agricultural Science Innovation Center, which will replace and expand upon its prior Vintage Farm site. The district plans to break ground on the project in the new year.
Among other items, the contents included a document from the now-defunct Traffic Advisory Committee:“Top Ten Reasons Why the Traffic Advisory Committee Will Not Be Needed in the Year 2020."

The Napa City Council voted Tuesday to restrict the trucking of water out of the city and limit most outdoor irrigation to two days each week.
Through the council action, the city is hoping to cut community water use by 20% this year when compared to 2020. The cityâs goal is to preserve water stored in Lake Hennessey, Napaâs primary local source of water, in the midst of Californiaâs 2021 drought. The lake is at 63% capacity as of July 13 and water storage has dropped considerably in recent years because of low runoff the past two winters.
âThe fact of the matter is weâre close to scraping the bottom of the pool,â said city utilities director Phil Brun. âAnd when Hennessey looks like an empty pool, thatâs really ugly for our community.â
