and so prices are going up and there are shortages. we re all paying for the moratorium in higher prices and lack of goods on store shelves. for outright forgiveness of these loans only 40% of americans have four year college education and most of them are white. about 60% do not go to college. what aoc and progressives are proposing is that working class americans who don t go to college subsidize the educations of mostly white middle class americans. how is that progressive? and in addition, there is about 1.6 trillion in student loan federal student loans. 50% of that is for graduate degrees, masters degrees, ph.d.s, medical degrees, law degrees. so forgiving those loans is a wealth transfer to the educated elite. it is not progressive and makes no sense and we shouldn t do it. benjamin: how do you explain the progressive push for this?
