Sabah submits new SOPs for phase one of PPN to federal govt 30 Jun 2021 / 07:40 H.
KOTA KINABALU: Sabah has submitted new standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Phase One of Movement Control under the National Recovery Plan (PPN) to the federal government.
Sabah Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun said the state government was still waiting for the SOPs to be gazetted.
The state government spokesperson for Covid-19, said the SOP recommendation was decided unanimously by the Sabah Covid-19 Disaster Management Committee chaired by state secretary Datuk Safar Untong.
“Among the members of this committee are the heads of departments representing the Sabah State Health Department, the Royal Malaysia Police and the Sabah State Security Council,” he said in a statement yesterday.

KUALA TERENGGANU: The large-scale enforcement of Ops Patuh will be implemented nationwide from July 1, said Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin.
He said the ministry would coordinate the operation with all agencies under 21 ministries to ensure compliance with the standard operating procedure (SOP) of Phase One of Movement Control under the National Recovery Plan.
“So, those who are allowed to operate should get ready.if we detect any SOP violation, we will arrest and impose a maximum compound,” he said in a news conference after the SOP compliance operation around Terengganu Tuesday.

Elaborating, he said the local authorities would be instructed to conduct snap checks at certain locations and the police would implement roadblocks in the effort to lower the Covid-19 cases in the country.
