PUTRAJAYA: The process of bringing back 32 Malaysians who are stranded in Sudan will be carried out as soon as the situation permits, says Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir.
PETALING JAYA: PETRONAS' sole employee, other Malaysians as well as residents in the PETRONAS Sudan Complex in Khartoum are all safe and accounted for, confirmed the company.
KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 1): Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) is keeping a close watch on the unfolding political situation in Sudan amid its ongoing legal action to reclaim its rights over Petronas Complex and land in Khartoum and also to cancel arrest warrants issued against its officers there.
The Government of Malaysia is extremely concerned over the issue on the Petronas Complex in Khartoum, Sudan following news reports that the Sudan transitional government is seeking to confiscate assets belonging to Petronas, alleging they were acquired through illegal means during the rule of ousted leader Omar al-Bashir.
