Runner of the Year Abigail Hennessy (Westford Academy) and Athlete of the Year Nyrah Joseph (Billerica) headline a strong Sun Girls Track All-Star Team.
The long drive back from Longmeadow wasn't an enjoyable one for the Billerica High boys lacrosse team Saturday night. The Indians, who led 2-1 at halftime, fell 9-4 to fourth-seeded Longmeadow (15-6) during a Division 2 round of 8 clash.
It was an incredible season in girls indoor track. Billerica claimed the Division 3 state championship title, while Lowell's Ronnie Jones captured the New England championship in the shot put.
