I miss the simplicity of film black and white, colour and transparencies, or slides, if you will.  Before photographs, there were etchings and paintings, both with so much texture. I learned photography from the photojournalists at the Sunday Tribune, the newspaper in Dublin where I started my career. As a junior photographer, I was taken to the National Gallery of Ireland to study composition of paintings and we discussed how that image would have been taken as a photograph. I especially enjoyed the Norman Rockwell exhibitions and books; his compositions were amazing.

February 3, 2021 Although Broadway audiences can’t see Come From Away, there’ll be another way for theatergoers to say Welcome to the Rock . According to Variety, a live-filmed version of Come From Away is currently in the works, to be released this year. Produced by Entertainment One, the upcoming Come From Away film will mark the first time audiences can watch the full production away from the stage. The filmed version will be recorded at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre this May to be released in September, marking the 20th anniversary of the September 11 attacks on the Twin Towers.
