The car parts are catalytic converters, part of the car’s exhaust system.
The sheriff is seeking information on a vehicle the department believes may be involved. A photo of the truck was provided on Facebook.
This comes after Petoskey Police also warned residents in January of catalytic converters thefts done with a power saw. Police have not indicated a link between the multicounty incidents at this time.
