Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star has been embroiled in intense legal troubles this week: an arrest, fraud and money laundering charges and a federal arraignment hearing. During which time, the marketing executive has been notably and publicly quiet about her thoughts on the allegations â until now. She is finally speaking out after pleading not guilty to criminal charges in court yesterday.
Jen Shah pled not guilty to her charges and then later posted some images on her Instagram stories that seem to indicate that the reality star thinks the allegations are baseless. At first, Shah was seen showing off her newly straightened hair with the captions âqueenâ and âgorgeousâ and âbig chillin, fresh pressâ while done up to the nines in a Gucci tracksuit. On top of a fan-made âFree Jenâ merch shirt, the reality star also wrote:

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jennifer Shah has pleaded not guilty to charges related to a nationwide telemarketing scheme.
She entered the plea during a virtual hearing in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Friday. Judge Sidney Stein ordered that Shah can remain free if she posted a $1 million personal bond.

Federal prosecutors accused Shah and her assistant, Stuart Smith, of perpetrating a scheme in which they sold several services, including tax preparation and web design aimed at making their client s businesses more efficient and profitable.

Reality TV star Jen Shah of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” was unable to participate in her own court arraignment on Wednesday due to technical issues caused by more than 250 people calling in to the virtual hearing.
Shah and her assistant, Stuart Smith, were arrested and charged on Tuesday in connection with a telemarketing scheme that defrauded hundreds of people, many of whom are over the age of 55, according to a superseding indictment that was unsealed this week.
They have been charged with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering, the release said.

Jen Shah, one of the breakout stars of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, was arrested on federal charges on Tuesday for allegedly running a nationwide telemarketing scheme. One of Shah’s assistants who appeared on the Bravo show, Stuart Smith, was also arrested. They are both facing prison time.
Shah, 47, and Smith, 43, were charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with telemarketing and conspiracy to commit money laundering. They appeared in Salt Lake City federal court on Tuesday afternoon. They were released and not asked to enter pleas, according to The Salt Lake Tribune. They were ordered “not dissipate cash or assets” or “spend any money from personal or company accounts” in excess of $10,000. They must attend all upcoming hearings, cannot have contact with each other, cannot commit new crimes and can’t travel outside of Utah except to New York for court hearings.
