A Cornish water treatment company has launched its apprenticeship programme that they claim will bring more jobs to Cornwall. Eliquo Hydrok are recruiting up to 17 new roles at its head office and main factory in Indian Queens, Cornwall. Eliquo Hydrok are a provider of water treatment technologies to all municipal water companies in the UK and Ireland, with products and services that help protect the health of rivers, seas and drinking water. Peter Wroe, joint MD said: As an established local employer we have a team of 120 people who are crucial in delivering our quality and performance. We have a clear growth strategy over the next 5 years which will see investment in our people and premises, so we are recruiting for roles across all teams and levels - including apprentices and kick-start placements.

Now the many years of maintenance experience from the sugar mill is being harnessed as part of Hyne Timber s expansion in Maryborough. Hyne Timber maintenance and improvements manager Steve Kerr said it was great to get a new, ready to go maintenance team. Despite the Glue Laminated Timber plant being totally different from a sugar mill, our new team bring skills and experience in all things mechanical and can just get on with the job, he said.
