I just want to start by saying storm teams tell me a event coming in today will bring moisture. Both along the coast and along both the west and east slopes of cascades. This is a good sign. With are always challenges a storm like this, such as winds and lightning strikes. Firefighting teams tell me that we are very grateful for the rain. My teams also tell me that were making significant progress on fires ing some of these and fire chief doug grass will peak more to that in just a moment.
