On Monday Toshiko Hasegawa, executive director of Washington s Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs, announced her campaign for Port of Seattle Commission Position 4, a seat currently held by former port commission president and magician Peter Steinbrueck.
Hasegawa said her deep roots in Beacon Hill and her work as commission director prepared her for the role, where she plans to focus on a just recovery from the pandemic and a blue new deal.

The Port is uniquely positioned to be a model for bringing together industry, business, workers and communities to rebuild our economy and be better than it was before. I bring the necessary perspective and sense of urgency to ensure that the next rising tide will lift all of our ships.” The announcement explains that in her current role leading CAPAA, she “advises the Governor, State Legislature and other agencies on laws, programs, and policies impacting historically marginalized communities.” She also has worked as communications/outreach manager for King County’s

Holy cow, the data shows there were ~2000 entitled jerks per day ignoring the law on that bridge? Is it possible to go back to camera footage from before enforcement began to identify who they are, and banish them from west Seattle permanently? I’m certain they wouldn’t be missed.

that’s a pretty bold statement. you should worry about your own driving not the driving of others. Every time someone who is unauthorized crosses the bridge the city brings in $75 (not all of that goes directly to the city), and that goes to things such as road repairs and cameras. if you’re so worried and distraught by people making their own decisions maybe you should be banished to west Seattle.

Qatar Airways brings forward launch of flights to Seattle to January 29

Qatar Airways announced yesterday it would bring forward the launch of its four weekly flights to Seattle from March 15 to January 29, 2021. The airline will operate a fourtimes weekly service operated by its state-of-the-art Boeing 777 featuring 42 seats in Business Class and 312 seats in Economy Class. Passengers travelling to and from the US, including Seattle, can enjoy the world’s Best Business Class Seat, with Qatar Airways operating Qsuite on all 11 of its US routes. The Qsuite seat layout is a 1-2-1 configuration, providing passengers with the most spacious, fully private, comfortable and socially distanced Business Class product in the sky, with its unique sliding doors.
