3 Mar 2021 WORDS AND PICTURES: This is how Philip Sculthorpe responded to the picture as part of The Witham project THE results of an inter-generation writing project which began pre-pandemic and continued online have been posted for all to see. The creative writing course started in 2019 at The Witham, Barnard Castle, involving adult aged 55-plus and local school children. Those taking part were asked to share their experiences of living and growing up in the landscape and communities of Teesdale, with author, David Napthine engaged to head the project.
