ISLAMABAD: Investigators have achieved a breakthrough in the Johar Town blast case as a suspect, believed to be the man who parked the explosive-laden vehicle, has been arrested from Rawalpindi.

Geo News sources, suspect Eid Gul was taken into custody in a raid by the CTD Punjab from Rawalpindi and is being shifted to Lahore.
Three people were killed and scores were left injured when a vehicle laden with explosives blew up in the city s Johar Town near Hafiz Saeed s residence last week. Police said militants had targeted police in the explosion.

Law enforcement agencies have arrested a suspect who parked a car bomb in Lahore’s Johar Town on June 23, it emerged Monday.
The law enforcers arrested the suspect, Eid Gul, in
Rawalpindi, according to investigation sources.
Peter Paul David, another suspect currently in police
custody, bought the vehicle in Gujranwala a week before the blast. David handed
over the car to Gul.
The vehicle entered Lahore at 9:16am and it was parked outside a house in Johar Town at 10:28am. It exploded moments later.
