Ex Carlyle Group managing director Natasha Nankivell’s alternatives investments outfit Global Alternatives Fund has written an $80 million cheque for a fund from Canadian private equity firm Whitehorse Liquidity Partners.

Street Talk understands former Goldman Sachs veteran â and one of the founding members of its $13 billion infrastructure investment group â Peter Lyneham has joined the firm as a partner.
In doing so, Lyneham is linking up with his sister, ex-Carlyle bigwig Natasha Nankivell, who founded GAF less than two years ago.
Lyneham joined Goldman Sachs in 1999 in Australia, and moved to the London office in 2004 where he was a founder of its infrastructure private investing businesses, sitting on the investment committee.
Throughout his career he was also a board member at the UKâs largest port company Associated British Ports, Spainâs second largest gas transmission and distribution company Redexis Gas and Finlandâs second largest electricity distribution and district heating company Elenia.
