The FBI has identified the group behind the hack of Colonial Pipeline as DarkSide, one of the more unusual ransomware groups in operation and responsible for the hacks of more than 100 companies.

When Colonial Pipeline took its gasoline lines down following a successful cyberattack last week, it became the most high-profile victim of a hacking group called DarkSide.
