The Ponant Cruises ship, Le Laperouse, has been denied
entry into New Zealand waters by Immigration New Zealand as
they felt that 61 of the crew positions on this ship were
“non-essential” jobs that could have been filled by New
Zealanders.
Ponant Cruises had been granted approval
by the Health Ministry. The Ministry of Health issued
an approval in mid-December. The approval s conditions were
to operate with a limit of 100 guests, within NZ waters, for
Kiwis only. Le Lapérouse and her full complement of
90 crew were mobilised under strict COVID-19 isolation and
multiple testing protocols and sailed from her anchorage off

I have concerns about the enthusiasms of NZ police from time to time, but I wouldn t trade the worst of them for Russians.

Great to read this, thank you to the the community and mana whenua, for some real action on our environment. I just hope that all abide by this and we don t see any going against this as it is viewed as optional . Better to see the local body/govt formalise this. Better still enlarge such protection into other areas Mana whenua on Waiheke island are placing a two-year rāhui on the island in a bid to stop four species of kaimoana from collapsing.
This statement can be attributed to Peter Elms, INZ National Manager Border. The New Zealand border is currently closed to all but New Zealand citizens and residents and foreign nationals who are determined to have a critical purpose for coming to .
dimorphic continuum is mashed into a
binary categorisation. Some pretty shitty treatment of people who might not be close to one of the poles, when only transwomen are supposed to be treated shittily.
The earth has two geographic poles. But almost nobody is at the north pole or the south pole .
weka …
are you saying that you believe sex is a spectrum that sits between two poles?
By all means talk about the fairness with Semenya. I haven t looked at her situation closely so would be interested to hear ideas on how it can be resolved. But intersex and trans people aren t the same, so I m just not sure what that has to do with opening up women s sports to males. If you want to make a case for desegregating sport by sex, please do. Otherwise as far as I can see the argument is that some males should be allowed to compete against any and all females, irrespective of fairness to women. Understandably, a lot of women aren t too happy about that.
