Vessel at NYC s Hudson Yards bans SOLO visitors as it reopens after five months following a spate of suicides
Vessel at Hudson Yards was closed indefinitely in January following three suicides in the space of a year
All three of the victims climbed the structure on their own and jumped from the top of the 150-foot structure
The tourist attraction is set to reopen on Friday, but officials have now banned solo visitors in a bid to prevent further suicides
Extra security will also be on hand and staff have been trained to detect high-risk behaviors

The man, 21, reportedly leapt from the 16-story structure at around 11:45am
He was pronounced dead shortly afterwards, though has not been identified
A spokesperson for the NYPD declined to comment as to whether the man had been taken to hospital or whether he died at the scene
Monday s suicide is the third at the Vessel since it first opened in March 2019
