Athens-Based Fast-Casual Restaurant Maepole Opens on Georgia Avenue in Summerhill, Atlanta

Maepole Athens-based Maepole, a quick-service cross between a Southern meat and three and build-your-own bowl restaurant, is now open on Georgia Avenue in Summerhill. Located in a newly built retail strip across from Wood’s Chapel BBQ, chef Peter Dale (the National, Condor Chocolates, Seabear Oyster Bar), Michael Clancy, and Nathan Goodman say they were drawn to the character of Summerhill and its resemblance to Athens. “We chose Summerhill because it reminds us of Athens. We love to proximity to lots of residential neighborhoods, universities, and the downtown business community,” Clancy tells Eater. “The more time we spend here, the more we fall in love with Summerhill and Grant Park.”
