Vermont Plank Flooring moves to solar energy | Vermont Business Magazine

Vermont Business Magazine Vermont Plank Flooring is one of those businesses that seems quintessentially “Vermont.” Family-owned for three generations, VPF is hidden in plain sight right off of Putney Road in Brattleboro. “Because we re selling lumber, which might be one of the slowest growing, most ecologically important products on the planet, said Mark Tarmy, one of the company s founders, “we understand that environmental stewardship is our responsibility.” VPF uses selectively cut, sustainably harvested wood that is “as local as possible” to create wide plank, hardwood flooring for customers all over the country. “We obviously want to turn a profit, but it s critical to us that we do so in an environmentally sustainable way that contributes to our community,” said George Tarmy, Mark’s son and Head of Operations at VPF, “We re well on our way to becoming a net-zero operation.”

lawsuits costs Texans I was shocked when I read about Paxton s lawsuit to overturn the results of Joe Biden s election in four states, none of which is Texas. My first question was, who is paying for this? I found the answer on page 12  it s me. I am not pleased. The homeless population is surging, coronavirus cases are increasing, many Texans are without food or health care, and businesses continue to fail at an alarming rate. Paxton, currently indicted for securities fraud, decides to use my tax dollars, without my knowledge or permission to file yet another frivolous lawsuit to prove his loyalty to Donald Trump. Why not use some of the $270 million that Trump has collected for his election fraud campaign and instead spend Texas dollars on Texans?
