  The police have arrested 17 suspected cultists in the Federal Capital Territory, in their efforts to rid the metropolis of criminal elements. The suspects were arrested along the Gwagwalada, Gwagwa, Lugbe, and Kurudma axis. A statement by the Commissioner of Police, for the FCT Command, ASP Yusuf Mariam, revealed the suspects are; Peter Ajari 22years, Jacob Terkaa 27years, Isiaka Abdulmalik 19years, Akadiri Ay 23years, Nnamdi George 23years, Tony Enejo 23 years, Abioze Samuel Cole 35years, Samuel Mbachongu 29years, Michael Malachi 36years, Mbani Chukwuebuka 34years, Monday Orgar 24years, Onyeaka Chinonye 33years, Christian Chidebere 42years, Chukwuebuka Onijbo 24 years, Okife Zion 23years, Umoh Faith 22years and Emmanuel Obinna 31years all male.

Abuja: Police arrest cultists, all-female one chance robbers

The FCT Police Command has arrested five suspects for cultism and ‘one chance’ robbery along the Gwagwa and Lugbe axis in Abuja. The Public Relations Officer, Mariam Yusuf, in a statement, gave the cultists’ names as Peter Ajari, 24; Gideon John, 28; and Emmanuel Agwu, 26. They were arrested by operatives from the Gwagwa Division during a routine patrol on Friday, March 12. “The suspects confessed to being members of Aro Baga confraternity terrorizing Gwagwa axis. Exhibits recovered from them include one locally-made revolver and two unexpended cartridges”, Yusuf said. Similarly, the Police Anti One Chance Unit, nabbed two ladies, Blessing Nuhu, 24 and Ifeoma Nnamuchi, 31. The latter was described as a leader of the gang.

Police arrest one over killing of retired DIG s wife in Benue

Daily Post Nigeria Published The Police Command in Benue has arrested one suspect in connection with the gruesome killing of Mrs Eunice Aganya, wife of former retired Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Ibezimako Aganya. The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Catherine Anene, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Makurdi on Sunday, NAN reports. Anene said the suspect is being questioned by police officials adding that full details to the whereabouts of other suspects will be uncovered too. According to her, a full-scale investigation into the killing by the command’s Criminal Investigation Department had begun.
