rachel: good morning, everybody from daytona international speedway and that is the apopca high school blue darter band performing live here at the speedway ahead of daytona 500 here on fox. good morning, will. good morning, pete. pete: good morning, rachel. i m pumped. it s finally warming up here at the track. if you re a high school band, what a better backdrop than the daytona 500 and the international speedway, the big race is tomorrow at 2:30 and we get a chance to cover it all morning long and talk news. rachel: absolutely. pete: always fun to be here. rachel: let s get to some of that news and we re going to talk about east palestine and sounding the alarm and the effects of toxic chemicals in the town. i ve had a headache and odd tinkling sensation like in the gums and on my lips. my brother-in-law went to the hospital and got checked out. he was having some severe symptoms, some breathing issues. they let this sink in and burn for days before they evacuated an

and others to say maybe you want to get rid of medicare and social security. you ve made a small tweak to your plan. what does that mean? made it clear for people that wanted some other goal. i wanted to say for sure there s medicare and medicaid and some of those. there s 77,000 vacant federal office buildings that you re paying for. shouldn t we stop doing that? there s $430 billion a year of unauthorized programs that we re paying for. shouldn t we stop doing some of those? what do you do? review your credit card statement to make sure pete: not as often as i should but i should. you should look at it every month. rachel: i order a lot of amazon in the commercial breaks. pete: check dinner receipt. i read menus right to left. this is our job. our job is to review it s your money and taxpayer money. shouldn t we do our job and look
my fedex team. i look at the goals that i have; right, and the closest to my goals and the ones closest to me are the ones i can accomplish and before my career is over i have a certain amount of wins to get to and races to win and i can t control that. rachel: what does it mean to your family by the way? it s so much. my parents made so many sacrifices for me to get it in reses and that s the different thing about racing; right, it does take money and funding to do it. my parents had to second mortgage their house and sold all their old cars to keep my racing career going and luckily it paid off and got more cars from that. rachel: that was a great investment. really good investment. will: best of luck, denny. we appreciate it. rachel: thank you. pete: you need to sign a few autographs for me before you leave. my kids need it. i can do that. pete: rachel puts flying skills to the test in a ride along with the air force thunder birds. can t wait to see that.
dad was a driver and y all got to experience it and we have a racing school at texas motor speedway and you were driving with mike starr started it, my uncle, it s awesome the best part is the fans and the fans come like you did, will, yesterday and getting a real race car and racing around the daytona national speedway and it s incredible and i love it with the smiles on everybody s faces and the tiers make ago case like i lived out a childhood and can t believe i drove for nascar and special and unbelievable. will: man, once you ve done that and can imagine you step up on any t box and drive no matter how big the crowd and panic and mind control. pete: bret baier could do that and i know that you and i can do that and tee off in the area and
