people. and you have to learn to swallow a lot to do that. i see the way america reacts to this president. i see the military, the first responders our troops, our veterans, are so respectful to the fact that he is here doing things for them. it s bigger than all of us. pete: turn to policy. two immigration laws passed. travel ban in effect. victories going on. uncertainty in the senate. they are still hoping to get to a deal. we had the president tweeted this morning that hey, if they can t reach a deal maybe you split it up and do a clean repeal first which the senate has voted for once already. and you do the rest later. where is the white house right now on repeal and replace? that s a very strong possible alternative strategy, pete. because we know in the 2015 bill, that all but one republican senator did vote for certain items that are in this legislation as well u they voted to do away with the taxes and penalties in obamacare. they actually allowed, as i read it, very little,
without compensation. more than 400 brave men and women taking an oath to becombecome new york city police officers. it was sweeter for this new cop. [cheers] that s officer mike raffaeley proposing to his girl friend stefanie. and, of course, guys, she said yes. isn t that adorable? steve: congratulations. jillian: i love that too. ainsley: thank you. ir. pete: parts of president trump s travel ban taking effect overnight. but lawsuits, well, predictably they are already being filed against it up next, texas congressman and member of the house home land security committee will herd will join us with why we need this ban to stay safe. steve: bernie sanders just weighed in on the fbi s investigation into his wife and bernie is not pleased.
president, you know, our president. and how well we represented him and we were able to do this in a way that represents our values, not just as republicans but overall as trump supporters. you know, in many cases, people try to create this environment and make us appear one way as if we re hateful and we are not. pete: sean kilbane thank you for joining us. starbucks or anywhere, it could have been any place, we will stand up for the fact we support this president and don t need to be insulted as a result. ainsley: i can t imagine working for a company and if someone in a trump t-shirt or hillary t-shirt walked in i would be polite. pete: that s the way it should be. definitive proof russia hacked the election. 17 agencies came to the conclusion that the russian government at the highest levels was involved in the effort to play in our electoral process. pete: turns out the biggest bombshell in the so-called russia scandal wasn t even
sorts of things, security screening, raising the debt ceiling which, of course, is hilarious just on its face. yeah. i think it s somewhere around there i think about probably an accurate figure. pete: remi, what you are speaking to is the motives of people is being impound. people want people to die as opposed they might believe the private market provides health insurance better and more cheaply than the government does. where does it come a place about motives and not doing the right thing. pete, i think you hit the nail on the head honestly. people s motives being impiewnsd and that s just divisive. you re not going to convince people to see it your way if you are just name-calling. name calling is not an argument strategy. it s a fund raising strategy. i think a lot of people on both sides of the aisle recognize it reason generations of democrats and republicans haven t used language like that because of how divisive it is. ains apsz you are very
ainsley: happy anniversary. steve: brian is off for my anniversary and pete hegseth. pete: i m here to honor it. steve: there you go. a lot to talk about the president s tweets from yesterday. this morning he has already been tweeting he has two out. and here are here they are, first up, if republican senators are unable to pass what they are working on now, they should immediately repeal and then replace at a later date. that kind of echos what we have senator ben sasse saying just a little while ago on this program. pete: already passed that before with a majority of republican votes vetoed by president obama but this president says he wants to repeal. ainsley: senator rand paul said to do that yesterday as well. we had him on show and asking senator sasse if that happens are people going to be without healthcare. you can t repeal and not replace if you want people to have healthcare. he said no, there will be a year long expiration date. it won t take effect for the next year and
