In an announcement made last week, the newly named Petco Love gave the volunteer-based group the Colony Cats a $10,000 grant to support lifesaving efforts for animals in central Ohio.
Petco Love, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering animal-welfare organizations, provided this funding to amplify the mission of Colony Cats, a facility aimed at servicing feral, stray and abandoned cats in the area.
It s unclear how the funding will be employed, but Petco Love President Susanne Kogut said the organization will soon launch the first of several national tools to encourage animal lovers to push for lifesaving efforts.
“Petco Love announces an investment in Colony Cats and hundreds of other organizations as part of our commitment to create a future in which no pet is unnecessarily euthanized,” Kogut said in a press release.
