SMETHPORT â During the week of Nov. 30, 107 students across DECA District 1 competed virtually in various business events. Smethport DECA had sixteen members compete, with 13 students advancing to the state level.
Those students claiming first place in their respective categories are: August Cox (First Place in Quick Service Restaurant Management); Chase Burdick (First Place in Accounting Applications); Ella Forquer (First Place in Principles of Business Management and Administration); Jenna Gregory (First Place in Retail Merchandising); Brandon Higley and John Adamoski (First Place in Entrepreneurship Team Decision Making); Jordan Pavlock (First Place in Personal Finance Literacy) and Alyn Thomas (First Place in Principles of Marketing).
