PULASKI, Va. (WDBJ) - A man has been charged and arrested for a crash that destroyed a roadside memorial for a fallen officer.
John Logan Davidson faces charges of reckless driving, destruction of property and leaving the scene of an accident, according to the Pulaski County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - The Pulaski County Sheriffâs Office is asking for information from the public after a makeshift memorial for a fallen officer was destroyed.
A roadside memorial for Sgt. Perry Hodge on Rt. 211, which included flags, appears to have been intentionally torn down, according to a post made Sunday morning on the Pulaski County Sheriffâs Office Facebook page.

The man charged in a crash that killed a local deputy will remain behind bars.
A judge denied bond for 26-year-old Michael Morris who was arrested for murder last month in a crash that killed Sgt. Perry Hodge of the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.
The 49-year-old deputy worked as a school resource officer and was well known in the community.
Morris will be back in court this spring.

PULASKI, Va. – The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office mourned one of their own on Sunday.
Deputies paid tribute to Hodge with a group ride from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office to the funeral. Additionally, memorials to Hodge have developed on a squad car outside of the Sheriff’s Office and at the spot on Route 11 where he died.
Pulaski-based motorcycle club Faith Ryders stopped to pray at the Route 11 memorial before the funeral.
“We have to do God’s work and pray for one another,” said Faith Ryders member Swifty Shaw. “We do what we can do to support law enforcement.”
