The Day 3 at WTO was beset by severe headwinds, with many countries, including India, objecting to the text of the draft agreements on agriculture and fisheries, especially related to subsidies.
This seems to be a desperate move by the head of the WTO as member nations are sticking to their entrenched positions, signalling that a "no solution" scenario is far better than going back home with an "adverse solution".
Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that the world is in a situation, where the temporary declarations are not going to help the countries rather the Permanent Solution to Public Stock Holding, pending for more than 9 years, is not yet being taken up for closure.
