Both the Minister for Education Viliame Gavoka and Permanent Secretary Selina Kuruleca have condemned a recent incident of bullying involving students.
“We only did what any other parent would do and now leave it to the police and Ministry of Education to deal with this ongoing issue because my son doesn’t want to go to school.” .
“I respect the party’s commitment to its MPs and adherence to the SODELPA Constitution. However, Political Party by-laws are made under the Political Parties Act,” Mr Rabuka said. .
“What the ministry needs to look at is give teachers a pay increase, provide a more conducive learning environment and reduce workload given to teachers,” he said. .
