In his welcome speech, Bangladesh Ambassador to Paris and Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to UNESCO Kazi Imtiaz paid homage to the memory of Bangabandhu.
The March 7 speech worked as the major source of inspiration for the nine-month long war, the envoy said.
He also thanked ambassadors and permanent representatives of all the countries who participated in the event.
Ambassadors and permanent representatives at the organisation from Australia, England, France, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Spain, Cuba, Saudi Arabia, Mauritania, Kuwait, Russia, China and Bangladesh who speak English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Russian and Chinese unveiled the book yesterday, the release adds.

DHAKA, March 6, 2021 (BSS) – Bangladesh Embassy in Paris and Permanent Mission of Bangladesh to UNESCO published a book on Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s 7th March speech in UN’s six official languages.
The book titled “The Historic 7th March Speech of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman: A World Documentary Heritage,” was unveiled at UNESCO headquarters on Friday, according to a press release received here today.
In 2017, the UN’s educational, scientific and cultural agency, UNESCO, included the Bangbandhu’s historic 7th March speech in the Memory of the World International Register, a list of the world’s important documentary heritage.

DHAKA, Feb 22, 2021 (BSS) – The Shaheed Dibos and the International Mother Language Day was observed in Bangladesh missions abroad in a befitting manner, according to messages received here today.
Marking the day, Bangladesh Embassy in Washington, D.C. organised a webinar with the theme “Fostering Multilingualism in Education and Society” on Sunday.
Bangladesh Ambassador to the USA M Shahidul Islam delivered the welcome address at the event.
UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay addressed the webinar while Director General of International Mother Language Institute, Bangladesh Prof Dr Jinnat Imtiaz Ali presented the keynote papers.
Speaking at the event, Audrey Azoulay said UNESCO has launched an initiative to translate more than 6,000 books in over 100 languages to enrich its world digital library which already offers free access to thousands of books, manuscripts, pictures and documents from across the world.
