These rules are essential to the advancement of innovative commercial unmanned aircraft systems (“UAS”) applications and the acceleration of routine expanded UAS operations. The Remote ID Rule establishes a framework for the development of an unmanned traffic management (“UTM”) system that will enable the full integration of UAS into the National Airspace System (“NAS”).
