A man was stabbed in Watford town centre last night. Police were called to Market Street in Watford at around 9.30pm (May 18) and a section of pavement in the shopping street was taped off. Pictures taken from a property in Market Street at 9.45pm show three police cars along with an ambulance. Hertfordshire Constabulary has confirmed one man suffered stab wounds and he was taken to hospital. Police say his injuries are not believed to be life threatening or life changing. A 35-year-old man from Stevenage has been arrested in connection with the incident and is in police custody. The section of road which was taped off is between the junctions of Percy Road and Francis Road.
Police investigating thefts in Hightown area of Wrexham
Police are investigating a number of thefts in Hightown.
The incidents, which have taken place in the Percy Road and Bennions Road area, include opportunist theft of milk and outbuildings being targeted with power tools and gardening equipment stolen.
Office believe two males are responsible having been seen on CCTV.
Wrexham Town Centre Inspector Luke Hughes said: “Please report any suspicious behaviour you witness, regardless of the time of day.
“We very much reply on public support and community spirit, if you think it looks odd it probably is. Give us a call on 101 (999 if urgent) and we will happily respond.”
The call, from Wrexham Town Inspector Luke Hughes, comes after thefts in the town. Insp Hughes said: We are currently investigating a small number of thefts in the area of Percy Road [and] Bennion Road. These have included opportunist theft of milk and outbuildings being targeted with power tools and gardening equipment stolen. We believe two males are responsible having been spotted on CCTV at around 5am. Please report any suspicious behaviour you witness, regardless of the time of day.
