The woman is the latest in a string of arrests by police in relation to the death of Tongia, 33, who was killed on December 20 at a property on Percy Dyett Drive in the suburb of Karori. Shayde Carolyn Weston, 24, who has a Masterton address, was charged with murdering Tongia using a firearm, and assaulting him with a kitchen knife. A woman, 35, whose name is currently suppressed, was charged with being party to Tongia’s murder by driving Weston to commit the crime. A third woman, Phoenix Chartarn Kahurangi Colvin, 20, was charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder by concealing a firearm.
The 27-year-old has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and with being party to murder for providing the car used by the alleged offender.

Police believe Rau died at around 4:30am on Sunday 20 December at a Percy Dyett Drive property. We were notified at 8:30am that he had been found deceased.
As a part of the investigation, a vehicle of interest, a silver Nissan Dualis SUV registration number MTG725 was identified and located by Police. The owner of the vehicle has been spoken to by Police.
At around the time of Rau’s death, this vehicle along with possibly a dark coloured small hatchback type car were seen leaving Percy Dyett Drive.

Police continue to investigate the homicide in Karori. Formal identification has taken place and the victim was 33-year-old Rau Tongia.
A guard remains in place at the Percy Dyett Drive property where the body was found, while Police, alongside ESR, examine the scene.
Police were called to a report of disorder at the property at around 1:25am yesterday morning.
Enquiries into this incident are forming part of the investigation into Mr Tongia’s death.
