IPOH: The six matriculation students who were issued compounds for failing to adhere to the Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) will not be compounded, says Mohd Akmal Kamaruddin.
The Perak Health Committee chairman said the decision was made after the students appealed and discussions were carried out with the state health department. During a meeting with the Kampar health officer and the Perak Health department director, we decided not to compound the students, and the case has been declared closed. The students are from poor families. Therefore, we believed that this is the best decision as it won t burden them, he told reporters during his visit to the Selama health clinic Tuesday (Apr 27).
