DEA special agents seize china white heroin in undercover operation

An undercover operation landed a suspected china white heroin dealer behind bars, according to an arrest affidavit filed on Friday.
On Dec. 3, a Drug Enforcement Administration special agent acting as an undercover officer had contact with Angel Marie Alvarez, who is a Nuevo Laredo source of supply. The undercover officer coordinated the purchase of about 1.20 pounds “de la china,” or china white heroin, for $12,000.
On Dec. 9, Alvarez agreed to meet the undercover officer at Pep Boys Auto Service and Tire located at 4401 San Dario Ave. The undercover officer arrived at the location in a white Dodge Ram. Alvarez entered the vehicle and told the undercover officer she had three packages.
