Graham Authorities at Fort Bliss in Texas have decided to court-martial a private first class who stands accused of sexually assaulting a fellow soldier after she turned up dead on New Year s Eve. The name of the accused soldier has not been released, but in a statement obtained by PEOPLE, a Fort Bliss spokesman said the order was issued Jan. 8. Maj. Gen. Sean C. Bernabe, 1st Armored Division commander, personally ordered the referral of charges against the soldier to a general court-martial, reads the statement.

Sarah Simental, an 18-year-old from Tinley Park, died on Dec. 26, just three days after being admitted to the hospital with a positive coronavirus test, according to NBC Chicago . Her mother, Deborah Simental, told the outlet that her daughter had been following all of the safety precautions and had only seen her boyfriend prior to experiencing symptoms. Sarah first reported a minor headache on Dec. 16 and two days later her symptoms worsened as she developed a fever, chills and started vomiting.

Witnesses Say Man Using Heroin Carried Out Murder At Hixson La Quinta After Saying He Was Going To Kill Someone Wednesday, December 16, 2020 Mario Peoples Police said an arrest has been made in a case in which a man was gunned down at the Hixson La Quinta Inn. Last Saturday,  police responded to calls of a DOA victim at the inn on New Country Drive. The victim, Christopher Trivette, had a gunshot wound, and EMS pronounced him dead. A half hour later, an investigator pulled up on scene and saw the victim lying on his side in a pool of blood, and saw several bullet holes on the body. Police said his phone and ID were missing.
