Police have so for impounded about 2 billion baht worth of assets from 31 suspects in an online gambling network said to be run by a police lieutenant colonel, but detectives believe they have only exposed the tip of the iceberg.
Police took a close aide to “Inspector Sua”, a policeman accused of involvement in a multi-billion-baht gambling network, and five others to the Criminal Court to seek their detention for 12 days.
Thanks to whistleblower Chuvit Kamolvisit for his latest exposure of a major online gambling network, allegedly operated by a police officer attached to the logistics department, popularly known as "Inspector Sua", the Central Investigation Bureau police on Friday launched coordinated raids at 63 targets in six provinces.
Police say they plan to apprehend more holders of “mule” accounts and freeze more assets of a multi-billion-baht gambling network allegedly run by a policeman known as “Inspector Sua”.
