Halifax company buying dozens of afforable housing properties from Telus investment fund

Posted: May 07, 2021 4:52 PM AT | Last Updated: May 7 These five apartment buildings along what s known as the 500 block of Herring Cove Road, in the Halifax community of Spryfield, are owned by Telus Pensions Master Trust and run by Metcap Living Management Inc.(Steve Lawrence/CBC) Affordable housing buildings in Nova Scotia owned by an investment arm of Telus are being sold to a Halifax company specializing in creating affordable communities. Telus Pensions Master Trust, which was set up by the company as an investment trust with funding from corporate pensions, took over full ownership of 54 properties in Nova Scotia it had co-owned since 2015 with Strategic Atlantic.
