Malcolm McLean: Maps’ MoneyHelper rebrand ticks all the right boxes
Providing a unified service under a straightforward name is a step in the right direction to simplification

I was interested to learn that the Money and Pensions Service is launching MoneyHelper a single consumer destination that replaces the Money Advice Service, The Pensions Advisory Service and Pension Wise.
The only question in my mind is why it has taken so long for Maps to make up its mind to move to this position.
Since its launch in 2019, Maps has operated its consumer services under the three legacy brands, which was clearly never going to be desirable over the longer term. They will now come together in one place, although it is not quite a full-on merger.
