May 11, 2021 The Ensley Walmart on Pensacola Boulevard was robbed Tuesday morning. A male wearing a white hoodie went to the customer service counter and passed a note stating that it was robbery, according to Escambia County Sheriff’s Office Commander Andrew Hobbs. The suspect did not display a weapon, Hobbs said. The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information on the inciden to call the ECSO at (850) 436-9620 or Crime Stoppers at (850) 433-STOP. Escambia County: U.S. 98 (State Road (S.R.) 30) Pensacola Bay Bridge Replacement - The intersection of North 17th Avenue and Bayfront Parkway will remain closed until spring 2021 as construction continues on the new 17th Avenue interchange. The Visitor’s Center and adjacent boat launch remain accessible from 17th Avenue. Also, the ramp from 17th Avenue to East Gregory Street remains open. Eastbound drivers on Bayfront Parkway should use North 14th Avenue and Cervantes Street (U.S. 90) as a detour route.

March 16, 2021 A convicted felon from Molino is facing weapons and drug charges after a traffic stop. Alexander George DeLoach, 25, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a concealed weapon, two counts of possession of cocaine, possession of a marijuana, knowingly driving with a suspended license, and failure to appear on a felony charge of possession of a weapon or ammunition by a convicted felon. The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office stopped DeLoach’s vehicle in the area of Detroit Boulevard and Pensacola Boulevard for an alleged improper left turn. Deputies smelled the odor of marijuana and searched the vehicle, finding a bag containing cocaine, a bag of marijuana, and a loaded .22 caliber weapon, according to an arrest report.
