Man dead after car accident in South Philadelphia Published  Witnesses say the car flipped over before it burst into flames. PHILADELPHIA - A fiery car crash in South Philadelphia overnight leaves one man dead. It happened just before 2 a.m. on Penrose Ave and South 26th Street. Witnesses say the vehicle flipped over and burst into flames. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
