ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) â A man opened fire at a convenience store in Pennsylvania early Wednesday, apparently at random, killing a truck driver who was pumping gas and wounding another man before taking his own life, officials said.
The man had first shot at a car on a highway several miles away before heading to the convenience store around 4:45 a.m., according to Lehigh County District Attorney James Martin. The woman in the car told authorities she didn t realize her car had been hit with a bullet until she stopped at a Wawa store in Upper Macungie Township, outside Allentown. She was uninjured.

Gunfire was reported in multiple locations, including A Pocono Country Place, at the Dollar General store in Tobyhanna and at Stogie s on Route 196. Police are operating on the assumption the shootings are connected. Mount Pocono Mayor Michael Penn shared details of the shootings on Facebook, and said there are currently four known victims at multiple scenes as of writing.

MOUNT POCONO, Pa.: Authorities early Tuesday lifted a shelter-in-place order hours after a string of shootings left at least four people injured in a community in Pennsylvania s Pocono Mountains.
Authorities tweeted that while the investigation was ongoing, they did not believe the public was in “imminent danger.”
Shots rang out on Monday not far from each other in at least four different areas of Monroe County, Pennsylvania. A woman was flown to a hospital with a gunshot wound to her back, while another victim appeared to be shot in the head, Pocono Mountain Regional Police Chief Chris Wagner said at a news conference, during which he said no suspects had been arrested.
