LANCASTER – A Pennsylvania company has denied liability for damages alleged by a pair of plaintiffs, one local and one from South Carolina, who claimed they were struck by a wooden beam which fell from the ceiling as they were dining inside a local Marriott hotel restaurant.
PITTSBURGH – A Western Pennsylvania attorney who alleged that proprietary information from his law firm is in the possession of other counsel and that those defendants have refused to return his information to him has overcome an attempt at sanctions levied against him by the defendants.
WILLIAMSPORT – A litany of health care defendants accused of committing negligence – in litigation from a woman running on a treadmill for a medically administered stress test who said doctors ignored her warnings that the speed of the treadmill was too fast for her to keep up, leading her to fall and suffer a broken arm and other injuries – have denied being responsible for her damages.
PHILADELPHIA – A laborer working on a construction project in New Jersey who suffered a fall which fractured his spine in multiple places, alleges that negligence from the contractor on the project was the proximate cause of his injuries.
BUTLER – A defamation lawsuit brought by a Western Pennsylvania attorney and former Butler County District Attorney independent candidate accuses the sitting District Attorney, a local mayor and other residents of damaging her personal and professional reputations with scandalous and false information, but those parties have subsequently denied defaming the plaintiff.
