“The Anxiety Project” is a collection of drawings displaying the struggles of mental health. “When the Bough Breaks,” meanwhile, is a gallery of compiled artwork from multiple artists accompanied by poems, attempting to draw attention to the need for trees in our current climate crisis.
Both can be currently on display in the HUB-Robeson Galleries, as shown below.
Dr. Bill Doan’s work, “The Anxiety Project,” represents his struggle with mental health. He has used art to help visualize and cope with his mental illness.
There is an interactive aspect to “The Anxiety Project,” as visitors can draw about their own mental health in booklets provided. There are also goodie bags with information about CAPS (Penn State’s Counseling & Psychological Services), a stress ball, and more available in the gallery.
